Coachella 2016 has been blessed with the headline act Guns n Roses for 2016, with the sun shining and drinks flowing it may just be the best one yet!
Each year the festival brings an influx of fashionista's through it's glorious doors and 2016 isn't any different. This season we've seen an array of vintage vibes overtaking the style scene.
The main trends seem to be lace, tassels, suede, distressed denim and 90s tees.
The 90s Tee
The easiest vintage fashion to pull off for anyone is obviously the Tee. Usually displaying a rock band or sports team, it's easily paired with some high waisted denim shorts, a belt and some sneakers. All of which can be bought at your local vintage fair.
These have been in for a few seasons now but don't let that put you off, they develop each year with mixed media materials, try pairing your tassles with sparks of metallic bringing different styles together. Tassels are no longer honed as the cowboy renaissance, be daring and have fun with them!
Now you could argue that lace isn't THAT vintage but search any vintage store and you won't have been looking long til you find some. Lace often brings a girly touch to an outfit that would have previously been a little bland. Seen at Coachella in the form of dresses and skirt trims, it's definitely one to invest in for festival season.
Suede had a rebirth in 2015, gracing our shelves in every high street store imaginable, which is fine, but it often has that off the rack sense about it that just doesn't seem right for a festival. Vintage suede/suedette is often better quality and more structured than our modern day twist. Suede + tassels is to die, but if you're feeling adventurous rummage out those flares.
The classic king of all eras - Denim. It's not going away, it's definitely here to stay which makes it the BEST vintage investment. Ripped denims are back in all walks of life not just festivals. Naturally as you can see from the gallery above, denim can be paired with anything! Lace, suede, leather, lycra. Ain't no stoppin' you.
