Up until last year, i thought that my skin was bad because it was too oily. I saw several 'specialists' and sales people from Brands who said i must have oily skin. I thought this was odd that non of these products purchasedfor oily skin made any difference, so one day i was in Cheshire Oaks, browsing in Molton Brown, when i came across their cleansing oil amongst other products. Over £200 worth of skin care for £30! Amazing.
So off i went home with my new bargains, used the cleasing oil that night, it took all my makeup off in one swipe and left my skin feeling so soft, i then used the matching toner and finished off with Clarins cream-gel (my fave). So a lot of extra moisture going onto what i had been told 'was an already oily face'. I'd spent my years using oil free moisturiser and 'drying' cleansers for oily skin. After a week of this new moisture inducing routine, my skin completely changed, gone were my breakouts and red patches, no more greasy mid day face and even was granted smaller pores! Amazing, to sum up, my face was making extra oil for all those years because i was depriving my DRY skin of moisture, so not only was i misdiagnosed with oily skin, it couldn't have been any further from the truth because i wasn't giving it enough moisture!!! All those so called experts making me waste so much money over the years, so if you feel like this sounds like you please give oil cleansers and gel moisturisers a go (Especially the Clarins gel)!
Unfortunately the Molton Brown Skin Care has been discontinued (gutted) so i'm taking a look at the top 5 to buy next!
